Only 150km north of Cape Town on the South-African West Coast, it is the ideal destination for overnight visitors, or stays longer and enjoys our West Coast Hospitality. Granny Mac’s Guest House and Self-Catering is situated in a unique setting that makes guests’ feel welcome and at home from arrival.

Our guest house is walking distance from the Berg River and "Bokkomlaan". Birdwatchers can enjoy the wide variety of bird life along the river, while taking a stroll through South Africa’s “bokkom industry”. Enjoy a boat trip on the Berg River, or come and do whale watching in season. We are also 5 minutes from the sea, which is still mostly undisturbed, and where you can walk for miles along the beach. Granny Mac is centrally situated on the flower route, 15 minutes from Vredenburg which is the business hub, 25 minutes from Paternoster where you can experience the West-Coast feel, 30 minutes from Langebaan which has the largest saltwater lagoon in South-Africa, 25 minutes from Saldanha with its huge sea port and 5 minutes from Dwarskersbos. There are also Elands Bay, Muisbosskerm, St Helena Bay, Stompneus Bay, Shelley Point, Jacobs Bay, Tietiesbaai, Trekoskraal, Darling, Club Mykonos and much more.

The units have a relax and homely feel. We have 2 luxurious, cosy ensuite units (Grace and Peace) consisting of a small living room with a kitchenette, bedroom and a unique bathroom. The units are separate from the main house with its own entrance and secure parking.
