"Superb stay for 6 days at this small hotel. Lovely spot very friendly/ helpful staff. Superb breakfasts.Stunning views and really handy for Camps Bay and all it's nightlife. Right below the 12 Apostles and you can actually see the gondolas going up to Table Mountain.

The room which my husband and I had was obviously next in line for refurbishment as looked a bit tired , beautiful setting and layout,whereas my daughters room had been totally refurbished and the decor was lovely. Having said that was a great stay and would recommend to all"

"Very nice grounds. Wonderful view; even saw a whale from the pool deck. Pleasant room although a little plain. I'm not one for overly friendly or intrusive hosts but the atmosphere here felt a little too impersonal. Still, with such a great location, I would stay here again and again. "

"We were at Ocean View House from June 16 until June 20 2009. The location has a really nice view of the ocean and gardens are lovely. It is quiet and not too far from the restaurants in Camps Bay - though an automobile and taxi are required to get back and forth - the road is very busy and would not be safe for walking at night.

The accommodations are comfortable and the breakfasts are quite nice. We loved going to sleep to the sounds of the ocean and waking up to them as well.

We ate at the Codfather (rather expensive but delicious seafood) and at Summerville (great view and not as expensive but really good seafood as well).

"My boyfriend and I have just returned from a wonderful visit to Cape Town, which included a stay at the Ocean View House.

Overall, the property fully met and exceeded my expectations. The room we booked was clean, spacious and comfortable and had the added benefit of offering amazing views of the mountains and Atlantic Ocean. It was a real value for money. The Ocean View House staff was most accommodating and friendly, and was always willing to help arrange taxis, restaurant reservations or whatever else we might need.

The property is situated between Camps Bay and Bakoven, and while we definitely appreciated the peace and quiet of the location, it is about a 15 minute walk (or a 5 minute taxi ride) to the center of Camps Bay. The walk is an easy and enjoyable one though, and should not deter you from booking."
