"We stayed at Swallow's nest on our way to Addo elephant reserve and enjoyed it so much that we decided to stop there again on our way back to Cape Town and stayed on for an additional two nights. This provided a beautiful environment in which to stay, which was relaxing and welcoming. The breakfast was superb, with the dining area overlooking the ocean. The staff were able to accommodate any breakfast needs, offering home made scones baked that morning. I felt that it was the attention to detail which made the Swallow's nest so special, such as cotton buds in the bathroom, bath soak, complimentary sherry etc. We would not hesitate to return. "

The place was clean and the staff friendly and helpful with local places to visit and restaurant recommendations. Easy to find but perhaps not as near to a swimming beach as we wold have liked, this still only being a 3/5 minute drive. Very near to a beach with good walks though"

"The breakfast was super"

"Swallow's nest has an amazing bunch of people who are extremely warm & friendly. The breakfast was super..the best spread that we came across. The B&B is extremely comfortable and luxurious. Gerald helped us choose some brilliant restaurants for dinner!"

"Wonderfoul view at Plettenberg"

(Switzerland) Rita

"We had a wonderful stay at Plettenberg. The room was very spacious and just a short drive to town center.
But the excellence was the stunning view to the seaside with the morning sunrise from the room balcony."

Friendly personnel and well thought through items in the room which one does not encounter at other guest houses. I travel a lot with my bike and stay at many guesthouses in the country but this one must be one of the best if not the best.

They had thought of so many things to include in the rooms that other B&B's never even consider. Close proximity to beaches and easy to get to the top quality restaurants. The breakfast was to die for --great choices of fruit, homemade muffins and hot selections.
We will definitely re-visit on our next trip to South Africa

Also fridge/freezer, microwave, plates, cutlery, glasses etc, complimentary bottles of water, tea/coffee making facilities. Large bedroom with TV, own private patio area. Lovely pool with towels provided.Spotlessly clean room with fan. Great breakfast, we stayed at 7 guesthouses on our 3 week stay in SA and this was the best breakfast. Off road parking, a great place to stay and good value."

"We had a wonderful stay at Swallows Nest. Gerald is a lovely helpful person and his advice on restaurants to visit in Plett was excellent. We were there with my friends and my husband and we had the two double bedrooms en suite with private entrance overlooking garden and swimming pool with beautiful sea lagoon and Mountain View. These were well equipped clean rooms. Breakfast was fantastic and the eggs cooked to perfection. I would definitely recommend this friendly B&B and if I am lucky to visit SA in particular Plett again I would definitely stay here again."

"The owners were extremely friendly and helpful. The room was quite spacious with a separate walk in wardrobe with a safe and large bathroom. The rooms could do with a bit of updating but nevertheless very clean.

Some nice touches including fridge, water, snacks, sherry and a television - not all guest houses provide these extras. The common area where breakfast is served is not available to guests outside this time. They do not have a licence therefore there is no communal area. Not far from beach and restaurants and therefore a good location. Would stay again but would want a room with sea view.

The rooms could do with a bit of updating but very clean all the same. Some nice touches included fridge, water, snacks, and sherry…. which we didn’t find anywhere else. The location is the on main road with no footpath into town so walking home after dinner in town a bit dodgy. But Gerard arranged us taxis which was much better but they were mega expensive. Had best meal during our ten days in SA at a place in Plettenberg Bay recommended by owner.
Would stay here again, which is a big compliment from Yorkshire folk!

"Our stay in Swallows Nest was a memorable one. It is a very relaxing place; we got a very pleasant room with big bathroom and lots of small details as coffee and tea facilities, magazines and books, information on activities and restaurants, towels for the swimming pool, and even body cream. Our room was in the upper floor, so we had very nice views over the lagoon and the sea. The location is very good also, near the centre of town, the shopping centre, the lagoon, etc. The breakfast was a real feast, and the owners were really friendly and helpful; they helped us finding surfing lessons for our son and gave us all the information we asked for. I would definitely recommend it to anybody and we would gladly go back if we visit Plettenberg Bay again."

"The welcome was warm and everyone we met at Swallows Nest was so helpful and friendly. The rooms were excellent, very comfortable beds and, at least for us, a palatial bathroom, (though our boys had a much smaller one)! Everything was spotlessly clean and of good quality. There was enough breakfast to keep us going for the rest of the day, and a huge selection to choose from. The only sad thing was that the sun didn't reach the pool in the evenings when we were ready for a swim - more of a morning and early afternoon pool. Very well located for all our trips out of Plettenberg, but still near all the facilities and restaurants for dinner. We would definitely recommend it to anyone, as long as you get a sea-facing room!"

"Fabulous Plett B&B, people and beaches"

(United Kingdom) Mr Kemp

"Fantastic B&B, safe & secure, close to everything, large rooms, great breakfast and lovely people! Loved every minute of my stay in this fabulous holiday town."

"Good place"

(France) Mr & Mrs Lavarda

"The room was very well equipped, the view from our terrace beautiful. The breakfast was delicious. Gerald welcomed us warmly."

"Swallows Nest"

(Belgium) Mr Mees

"It was very fine. One could modernise the room a bit futher. People were very
nice."

"Swimming & Solitude"

(United Kingdom) Mr Hampson

"Lovely room and the pool was just what we needed. The beach is long and deserted, ideal for a walk in the early morning. The beach front restaurant is good and within walking distance."
