Caring for nature while caring for you. Are you visiting the Addo Elephant National Park, or Schotia Safaris in the Eastern Cape, South Africa? Keith and Nondumiso welcome you to stay in our thatched cottages on our organic citrus farm, just 10 minutes from the Addo Elephant National Park.

Breath-taking panoramic views, major tourist locations, unique African style organic meals and our organic farm are only a few of the delights that await you. The Greater Addo area is a wonderful place to spend a holiday - this is where 3 industries come together - conservation, tourism and farming, meaning that your stay can be filled with many diverse, rewarding and educational experiences. Our cottages are safely nestled in the garden, where many indigenous shrubs and trees have been planted. Mornings are filled with varied birdsongs from the more than 60 species that we have seen on the farm. The cottages are designed to have a low energy demand. The thatched roofs are a delight to sleep under. They retain heat in winter and stay cool in summer. The solar water heaters make use of the hot African sun, and provide you with a relaxing shower after a long day having fun in Addo. To minimise our impact on the environment even more, we provide guests with soaps and shampoos that are mild on the body and free of harmful chemicals. Our linen is all washed in these ‘green’ products, which are effective cleaners but rapidly and safely biodegrade.

All rooms are non-smoking, and have an en-suite shower/toilet. All rooms have coffee/tea making facilities. There are 2 family rooms, each with a double bed and 2 single beds. Cots are available for infants. There are 2 double rooms – each has a double bed. The 2 twin rooms each have 2 ¾ beds.

Establishment Facilities include:
• Braai / barbecue - communal.
• Fishing (less than 3km).
• Fishing onsite.
• Game drives (less than 30km).
• Internet facilities.
• Laundry facilities (less than 2km).
• Lock-up safe.
• Nature trail (less than 2km).
• Parking all onsite.
• Radio in room.
• Reptile park (less than 20km).
• Restaurant (less than 5km).
• Squash court (less than 5km).
• Tea / coffee making facilities.
• Tennis court (less than 5km).

"The cottages are lovely - new and comfortable and the hosts are charming, friendly people who did everything they could to make us comfortable and at home.Easy distance to Addo, and quite a few restaurants nearby. The kitchen is communal but quite close by and there are tea/coffee facilities in the room. Good breakfast ! Lovely smell of citrus blossom while we were there.It is a bit closer to the township than I expected, but the security is very good (electric fences etc.) and seemingly no problems in that regard. Very good value for money.
