Located in over 40 000 hectares of Big 5 and part of the Greater Kruger National Park, our open based vehicle safaris are conducted by highly experienced and professional guides, sharing their knowledge and bush skills with you twice a day in search of the big 5 and the abundance of other wild animals which roam free around Sausage Tree Safari Camp. You will experience mesmerising views from our expansive decking of uninterrupted bush all the way to the magnificent Drakensberg Mountains.

Luxury, African-style, ensuite, tented accommodation, with 5 well positioned spacious tents, creates an authentic safari experience every evening, therefore offering exclusivity and privacy. During the warm afternoons, relax on our wooden deck, with a drink of your choice or in our swimming pool overlooking our active water hole. Exceptional cuisine from Chef Orlando complimented by a well-stocked bar and a wide selection of wines is served around a cosy fire under a canopy of stars every evening. Family owned and managed, maximum attention to detail, a high standard of service whilst maintaining a very relaxed ambience, welcome to Sausage Tree Safari Camp.

Kindly note that we now only accommodate children of ages 8 or older. We do still offer the option of adding an additional bed in two of our tents for a child between 8 and 12 years of age should this be requested. However, should the whole camp be booked by one particular group or family then younger children can be accommodated.

"My wife and I really enjoyed every moment, although we could only spend two nights there. Breakfast, lunch and supper was amazing! We really got spoilt with two, two hour game drives each day, not like a lot of other places that take you out for a quick sundowner and that's it. The staff is especially friendly and do their best to make you feel welcome and relaxed. Jimmy, the guide, did his absolute best to track down the animals for us and showed us all the spectacular scenery that Balule has to offer. He is very knowledgeable, and can tell you anything about everything. You will not be disappointed! "
