The bed is one of the most comfortable I have slept on which was a treat. It wasn't especially cold, but the under floor heating was on and actually very welcoming. We were able to come and go as we wished which offered freedom for early or late activities. Our host and hostess were stunning and they serve up a sumptuous and scrumptious breakfast! If you are looking for a getaway treat, then Heuglins is a great choice. "

To anyone travelling to White River area or going to Kruger National Park I would strongly recommend Heuglins Guest Lodge as the place to stay. "I've stayed in a lot of Guest Houses in and around Witrivier/Nelspruit. Heuglins Guest Lodge was absolutely stunning, with the beautiful gardens and the bird life, there's such a peaceful atmosphere.

And then the cherry on top is the under floor heating. I'm a very cold blooded person, and when I was on my way to Heuglins on Friday night, I was exhausted and very cold because I've been outside (next to the netball courts) till almost 7 o clock.

But when I opened the door and walked inside, it was so nice, warm and cozy. I felt better immediately.

The floor plan of the room we stayed in was also very nice, spacious, and what a suprise to find a full kitchen in the cupboard. That was also very nice.

We had a wonderful breakfast and very friendly staff serving us.

I know with all the big trees the sun does not really get to dry out the cottage and with all the rain we had this summer I understand. Even the linen feels a bit wet and the towels were still wet when I got back in the afternoon. That would be my only complaint. I had peace and quiet and loved the beautiful view. I will go back over and over. The breakfast was outstanding. Anneke and Brian did it for me. Thanks."
