"We visited the camp for 2 nights. We had a fabulous time. We went on a photo game drive during the afternoon and enjoyed it! Judas was a fabulous guide. We also went on a night drive. Viewing the stars away from any ambient light was a moment of a lifetime. It was breathtaking and oh so quiet! When we arrived back at camp we were met with a hot toddy and an enjoyable evening around the fire with 'hunters' from Pretoria. The 'guys' were interesting and we learned a lot about South Africa. We did visit the area that contained the 'big five' but totally struck out. We attempted to track a group of elephants and while we heard them in the bush, we never saw them- but it was still amazing!

The staff at Bateleur are fantastic. They provided all we needed and more! Great tents, wonderful service, and food. A holiday away from the hustle and bustle.

We planned it months ahead of time (in December last year we booked it already) so we could spend the time there to rest with our friends from Cape Town. Sadly one member of this couple had an operation just before and passed away. We had to cancel their stay but we still went. We had a good rest and obviously love the bush thoroughly - so the game drive adds tremendously to the experience! Debby and Theo and their team did a lot to make us feel welcome and fed us almost to death! Food was great and I even got one of their recipes from them! Thanks for a memorable stay!"

We enjoyed every minute from our arrival with Flippie waiting with cocktails at the gate to our last evening drive with Phillip and then the night drive with the stars almost touching us. We found the staff exceptionally friendly and helpful, the food delicious and the tented accommodation Ôluxury safari Õ. We felt as though we had walked onto a film set. Congratulations to Phillip and Jo-Anne on the lovely atmosphere theyÕve created. We had some great walks and drives as well. There is some wonderful bush on the property and spectacular views on Rhino land where we had our game drives. Our one suggestion is that there should always be a guide with knowledge of the bush available for the walks and drives.
