Being at the bottom of Kowyn's Pass it is well situated for touring the highland areas but Tsanana itself has a more lowland climate."

Location is great for exploring Blyde River Canyon, visiting Graskop or Hazyview, or as a breather and stopover to/from Kruger Park, since it is only an hour's drive from the nearest gate (Phabeni). Please note: the location is not in a town, but on the estate of a silk farm that also grows macadamias and avocados, in a quiet forested area between Graskop and Bushbuckridge. Good restaurants are only a short drive away.

"Tsanana Log Cabins and Mulberry Lane Suites are just outside Graskop. We were welcomed warmly by staff and Ana the receptionist/booking lady is very efficient, friendly and knowledgeable.
We stayed in Unit 5 which was lovely. The kitchen was well equipped, we had lovely clean towels and enough bedding to accommodate for cooler weather. The staff cleaned our unit every day and brought new wood for the fire. The Jacuzzi had plenty of hot water and it was a real treat to lie in the Jacuzzi at night, watching the fire and seeing a clear night sky.
The silk tour is really something out of the ordinary. We went to the silk shop in Graskop and the staff there really know what they are talking about and make it extremely interesting. There is also a silk tour on the farm which is unbelievable.
We did not eat at the restaurant but stopped there for coffee one afternoon and we were served by the most friendly lady whose service was brilliant.
It was a quite atmosphere, tranquil and we really relaxed and had a awesome time.
Ana really does the establishment justice because we left earlier than what she was supposed to be on duty and she never complained or had a attitude she simply stayed very friendly, returned our key deposit and wished us well on our trip home.
I can really recommend a visit to Tsanana Log Cabins & Mulberry Lane Suites.

A clue of what was to come, was when we received a call while on the road, asking whether we were on our way and what our estimated arrival time was. We were assured that, no matter what time we arrived, there would be someone waiting for us and that we should not worry, but should ensure we arrived safely!

Everything was spick and span and the little cabin looked so very inviting. However, once we were directed to the jacuzzi, the evening took on a whole new meaning. The water was hot and relaxing and just what a person needs after a long trip.

Next morning, we had a good look around and were very touched by the little white jug of milk placed so thoughtfully in the fridge, together with the bowl of coffee and tea. This was better than the grandest hotel!

I had brought along my electric frying pan but found that there was really no need - everything we could possibly want, including the frying pan, was already there!

The fire was expertly made for us and with no feeling on intrusion whatsoever. Even the monkeys, the next morning, ran away as soon as they noticed we had seen them. We just spent the weekend sitting and enjoying the serenity and rustic feeling.

A visit to the store proved just as special, with a very knowledgeable, serene lady in attendance. The ginger beer on the deck was enjoyed all the more by being served by a lady who spoke as much with her hands as her smiling face!

The weekend was magical! Thank you to all those who made our first visit to the log cabins so very special. This will certainly not be the last time."
