The owners and staff keep a low profile although we were greeted on our first day and provided with useful information on things to do in the area and restaurant recommendations. Breakfast is first class, rooms are small but well equipped and the reception area is spacious and very comfortable. The lodge is just a short walk from the beach and the village of Umhlanga with restaurants and shops. Nice touch was sherry and mince pies for all guests who were there at Christmas.
