Knysna Loeries can be seen from your deck early in the morning frolicking in the trees and there is an amazing hike called Kranshoek which is a 9 km coastal walk. This is a perfect and peaceful place to visit for a few days."

What a lovely surprise to find that we were going to be treated in such a way. The cottage was spotlessly clean and everything was in place. We slept soundly on very good mattresses and woke up feeling completely rested. At breakfast the staff was exceptionally friendly. We felt like royalty, having such a choice of food available at our convenience. We enjoyed having our breakfast outside next to the Koi pond, listening to the sound of the fountain. This was such a blessing to feel the calm and tranquillity flow through our minds and bodies. We also enjoyed listening to the sounds of all the different birds in the trees, while sitting outside on the porch of our little cottage, just relaxing and making a braai on the second day. We appreciate the personal way in which Elna came down from the office to chat with us, while we were having breakfast on the morning that we had to leave. We enjoyed our stay at Harkerville Forest Lodge tremendously. We have recommended it to friends already and hope that they will enjoy it just as we did. We are also amazed at the low cost for the seasonal time of January 2013.
We have been blessed by God and came back home with renewed energy and rejuvenated spirits.
