"Located across the road from the Strand beach. The apartment was a well equipped two bedroom overlooking the bay. It was ideal for us, about an hour or less from the Cape but close to all attractions without the chaos of the city. We drove to Betty's Bay maybe 30 min from the apartment along one of the most spectacular stretches of coastal road anywhere in the world. There one can find a penguin colony which is never mentioned in travel books. The apartment is also close to Stellenbosch and Franschoek for some fine wine tasting and scenery. Strand itself is fine, with a few restaurants but nothing spectacular and the lovely Gordon's Bay is about 10 minutes away, whose beach seemed better than the Strand.
All in all, the apartment is highly recommended.
