Our room was clean when we returned from our trip the second day. The hospitality of the host (Danie) was such a refreshing experience. My girlfriend and I often use different hotels to meet and we were blown away by how hospitable the host was. We met his whole family, had a chat, got to know a little bit about everyone and exchanged laughs. The breakfast was really great, R50 was more than reasonable I would have paid R70, or up to a R100, for the breakfast without complaint, which the owner himself prepared! If we ever go in that direction again we would not think twice about any other establishment, Mist of Gold will be our preferred accommodation! The reason I gave it a 4 and not a 5 is because I do not want any complacency to creep in and hinder innovation :) My girlfriend and I were really pleasantly surprised to receive that kind of service/accommodation/luxury and hospitality (which you cannot price tag) for such a low rate. I would pay R400 a night excluding breakfast for Mist of Gold."
