The room was very clean and had everything we needed, and we loved relaxing with a drink in the garden, swimming in the pool, or cooking in the pool-side BBQ. Hannette and her staff made us feel very welcome, and were very helpful with little things like washing clothes or tips for the area. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this place for anyone, including young families."

"This is definitely one of the nicest places I stayed during my trip along the Garden Route. It is located in a quiet neighbourhood close to the main street of Oudtshoorn. I booked the economic room but got upgraded to a room with a nice view of the Swartberg mountains. The host was very welcoming and made every effort to make me feel at home. Although I wanted to leave early, she was already there to provide me some breakfast. The house and room, with bath, shower and all comforts such as tv and minibar, are very nicely decorated and spacious with a lot of natural light. The artwork in the rooms is a very nice touch. The garden with swimming pool is very relaxing. The house has a private parking with automatic gate."

"Recently my wife & I decided to extend our December holiday by stopping along our N12 journey route at places where we haven't been before. On extremely short notice I booked a room for us (inclusive of our 16-month old baby girl) at Aloe Manor in Oudshoorn. To our surprise we were welcomed by the owner/manager and the pleasant/scenic environment was shown to us by means of a guided "tour" of the premises before we unpacked. The room, environment, open areas and surroundings were all in perfect condition, clean and very neatly maintained. The staff also went over and above normal expected services by ensuring our comfort and rest during our stay. I'd like to extend a warm thank you to everyone at Aloe Manor for a well deserved rest/stop made even more enjoyable. I'm definitely recommending my friends to stay here & I'm returning in the not too distant future when we will be visiting the Congo caves."
