"We thoroughly enjoyed our Sunday night stay at Laaiplek in Velddrif.  The hotel is beautifully situated right on the Berg River with lawns down to the water.

The staff were friendly and made us welcome and our room was well appointed with a view of the river.

Being a Sunday the restaurant was extremely busy and difficult to get service but the food was good when it finally came.  They do not serve dinner on Sunday night so we ordered dessert as a takeaway to have in our room later.  Velddrif is very quaint with little rustic eateries along the river and all in all a great outing.
