"Verblyf uit die boonste rakke. Personeel verskriklik hulpvaardig en baie vriendelik. Fantastiese ervaring."

"Excellent hospitality"

(South Africa) Derick Coetzee

"The Tulbagh hotel focused on our needs throughout our stay and ensured that we enjoyed our visit thoroughly. The food was excellent with an a la carte breakfast menu. Small touches such as suntan lotion, toys and goggles for kids at the swimming pool makes a stay such as this memorable. "

On arrival Saturday afternoon the street was very noisy, but did not really bother me. Tulbagh is a beautiful town with the surrounding mountains. One suggestion - please appoint someone to assist with suitcases, or install an elevator."

"A pleasant hotel with friendly staff and a comfortable atmosphere throughout. Special mention must be made of the Chef who is simply Top Class and is happy to talk to customers and will do her absolute best to accommodate any request for something different. Without doubt this Chef is providing food at its very best and the restaurant is a super place to dine. Also worthy of note are the attentive waiters/waitress who provide quiet, discrete and efficient service both in the restaurant and the Bar. The Hotel is clearly undergoing further improvements to guest rooms and without doubt these will match the excellent service I received."

"Chocolates and wine!"

(South Africa) Ms Marais

"What a lovely experience we had at the Tulbagh Hotel. From the arrival to departure we felt like part of the Royal Family. The best part was the lovely Victorian bath, with a complimentary bottle of red wine and chocolates, followed by a lovely breakfast on the verandah the next morning. "

"'Yesterday at its best'"

(South Africa) Mr P Kidger

"A country hotel that captures the spirit of the past and present. Room comfortable although would benefit from a ceiling fan. Had a super 'easy paced' evening at the pub and the Hollandse Beefstuk was of exceptional quality as was the service given by 'JP'. The breakfast was to match. "

"Jeanette and I were booked on the 15h05 flight from OR Tambo to Cape Town, where we would travel by car to the Tulbagh Hotel, expecting to arive there at about 19h00.
During the morning of our departure, Linda, the hotel's administration and booking officer, phoned to confirm the time of our arrival, assuring us that they were expecting us.
We missed our flight due to a multiple accident on the R 21 to the airport and had to take the last available seats on the 20h40 flight, landing in Cape Town at 22h40. We informed the hotel prior to our departure to inform them of our misfortune and to request the staff to leave the room key with the night watchman. A cheerful assurance was given that the necessary arrangements would be in place. When we arrived at the hotel at about 00h45, we were met by Linda and another staff member with big smiles - they had stayed awake to ensure that we were properly welcomed and made to feel at home, watching movies to while away the extra hours they would otherwise have spent resting.
The service we enjoyed during the weekend matched the spontaneity and warmth of the initial reception, the breakfasts were excellent and we never encountered a staff member who was not smiling and friendly.
As the terminator said: "We'll be back"!"
