The fourth and smallest one will soon be able to be a part of this great family hospitality. PC surprised us with his nature's knowledge and the areas history. To top it all we were witnessed to the first recorded sighting of a yellow Billed Ox-pecker, one year after PC introduced Buffalo to the area. We were also happy to meet the new comers to the family, two baby meerkats which we thoroughly enjoyed. This is not just a one night stop, this is a place where you can unwind for a few days. "

"We stayed at New Holme guest farm on the 23 December. It was a very lovely setting, and the owners were very friendly and made us feel right at Holme. It is well away from the highway, but only about 15 minutes from it travelling time.

Spacious rooms, amazing dinner - we self catered but will eat there next time we go. We then went on a night drive and were fortunate to see two rare black footed cats , a Cape Fox and amazing stars.

Breakfast was a grand affair and the best spread I've ever had anywhere (national and international). I recently had breakfast at the Table Bay Hotel - this experience was better! An establishment I will definitely visit again in future and will stay for more than one day to visit with the buffalo and hippos.

It is not just somewhere to stay for the night but a total experience starting with a drive to see the resident hippo's and other wildlife, followed by a wonderful meal and then a game drive with our host PC out into the veld where we saw Bat Ear Foxes and cubs, Porcupines, Ardwolves, Owls, an African fox, buck, lots of hares and rabbits and a hedgehog. We then gazed at the stars while PC told us their names. The breakfast the next day was another feast and we drove onto Cape Town totally relaxed. "
