"Absolutely wonderful, welcoming, home away from home, will stay there again when in the area. Excellent service and friendliness, wonderful food, just a fantastic place! Has wonderful accommodation for families too, has everything."

"Our arrival at Anlou Guest House was very much like returning home - a great welcome layered with warmth and care. The bedrooms are beautifully appointed with a décor laced in quirky humour and much to think about. A walk in the garden made me wish I was a child again - it has a magical mystery about it that makes you look for fairies in the foliage. A huge gas heater in the dining room took care of the outside cold while Ansie's cooking satisfied any hunger pangs that we had. Congratulations to Ansie and Jan for what they have created - it is unique and should be experienced by anyone who enjoys a laugh and something different."

"What a wonderful experience! Arriving at Anlou Guesthouse after a long journey from Botswana, tired and frustrated at the border post, was like arriving at home. Ans, the owner, made us feel right at home and very welcome. The pristine condition of the water featured gardens and the comfortable accommodation is more than anyone can wish for after a long drive. I can honestly recommend this guesthouse as top notch and a must stay over if in the Mokopane area.

"At times, it can be a very difficult process to decide where to stay, especially when such a decision has to be made at short notice. I found myself in such a position, but my intuition said I should go for the establishment.
On arrival the environment was welcoming and perfect for a longer stay. Unfortunately I had to rise early for the next appointment about 50km outside of town. The welcome reception was super, with an afternoon tea and biscuits. I felt like asking for a recipe for the biscuits. The owner was kind enough to offer breakfast just before six the next morning as I had to rush off. The house was warm enough to make me feel at home - I can recommend it to anyone as an experience of a life time.

"Very helpful"

(Belgium) Mr Hermans

"Our stay at Anlou Guest House was short but very friendly. We arrived in the (heavy) rain and Ansie and Jan so kindly looked for a restaurant and showed us the way to go. A lovely place to be."

"Awesome, beautiful, tranquil, peaceful"

(South Africa) Mrs Van Heerden

"I got lost in the most beautiful and peaceful place - a tonic for a tired soul from the big City. I can recommend this place to anybody who wants to experience the tranquility and peace in paradise "

"Breakfast under the Kameeldoring"

(South Africa) Ms van Wyk

"The guesthouse has a lovely 'home style' atmosphere including a warm welcome! The most remarkable feature is the massive Kameeldoring tree under which I had breakfast. Dinner was home made and delicious, if expensive (the alternatives are limited and I was happy to pay the price)."

"Haven of peace in a garden of pleasure"

"The owners could not have been more helpful or welcoming after our very long drive. There was a beautiful garden to sit in, in the cool of the evening, while we sipped the drinks provided, and hot drinks were there to be made if we wanted them. The rooms were spacious and clean, and a deep hot bath eased off the dusty travel. The idiosyncratic taps provided a moment's thought and amusement.

Breakfast was brilliant, and check-out time was at our convenience, for which we were extremely grateful. So we lazed by the pool and enjoyed this quite astounding garden, especially so as we come from Scotland.
