The breakfast was excellent and we loved her dorse (my name for a beautiful dog the size of a small horse - or so he seemed). "We were heading to Kosi Bay to camp for a week. We did a stopover in Pongola to break up the trip. We stayed at the Rose Garden Guest House, there were 10 of us - 2 adults and 6 children aged 5, 6, 7, 9, 12 and 15. We had an excellent stay at the Guest House. Elsebe, the host, was so accommodating. Rooms were huge, nicely decorated, very clean with coffee/tea service in each. All rooms were ensuite. She had a very nice green lush lawn with a children's play frame and some very fun dogs that entertained our girls for hours upon arrival. She was not intrusive at all, greeted us, welcomed us, and accommodated all of our needs. Went way overboard to ensure that we were happy. Beautiful views as well. It’s just outside of Pongola on a large farm-like estate. Totally secure, we did not have to unload our vehicles/ camping gear. And breakfast was fantastic. Very traditional big English breakfast in addition she provided other food items specifically geared towards children. I would highly recommend this guest house to anyone interested in staying in Pongola. They have a very nice website as well with a lot more information. Thank you Rose Garden!"
