"Great accommodation for a family of 4 on a semi self-catering basis. Comfortable, spacious cottage with all the amenities. Good breakfast each morning. Lovely friendly staff who helped get us settled, made suggestions and bookings for the area and assured with babysitting too."

"We stayed two nights in one of the cottages with our two small boys at Auberge La Dauphine. The space was pretty, clean and well furnished/equipped. We had the most magnificent mountain view and a lovely terrace which lead to the garden in which the kids could roam around safely. The entire property is situated in a beautiful and quiet part of Franschhoek and we went for short walks around the gardens and runs in the area. The breakfast was excellent and the staff super friendly and attentive. We found this place to be great value and will definitely be back when in Franschhoek again."

"Set on a farm in a quiet corner of the Franschhoek valley, Auberge La Dauphine has beautiful views a lovely dam and sweet donkey. The accommodation is simple but very clean and comfortable. The staff are very helpful. Nice touches include filter coffee with a plunger and fresh milk in the rooms, rather than the awful sachets you often get. The only rather strange of the farm are the rather bizarre giraffe and cow sculptures in the fields."

"Staff were extremely helpful. The rooms are very neat. "

"We decided on Franschhoek as a good place to join up with our 2 daughters who live in Cape Town and we are from Hermanus. The Auberge had self catering cottages at a reasonable rate and we were not disappointed either as it was spacious, comfortable beds and amazing scenery all around. Beautiful aloes in the garden and enjoyed the donkeys too. Great having a fireplace for chilly & wet evenings and a plentiful supply of wood. We were able to visit the Motor Museum and Babylonstoring from there as well as explore the many delightful shops & galleries that the town has to offer. Staff were friendly and helpful so will surely stay there again."

Breakfast was delicious, and we enjoyed being close enough to town (couple of minutes drive from the monument) but far enough out that the Bastille day festivities and noise didn't reach our ears.
Breakfast was delicious, and the French presses of coffee were an especially nice touch.
Thanks for having us - we hope to come again."

"Happy time."

(United Kingdom) Mrs Stephens

"We struck lucky here with our little cottage in a peaceful spot. Walking up to the dam with our drinks and watching the sun go down amidst the pink hue hills was heaven on earth.
We shall definitely book again.
Many thanks
Gilli Stephens and party."

"We stayed in the Acorn Cottage which was the best accommodation we'd stayed in throughout our time in South Africa (although the standard everywhere is excellent it seems so it had a lot to live up to being our last stop). The location is wonderful, just driving in the gates took our breath away. Anne and the staff were extremely helpful with making dinner reservations and suggesting places to go etc. Our sons, were besotted with the dogs, especially Jake who took a special liking to our youngest who treated him to a bit of unwanted bacon at breakfast.
If anyone is looking for a quiet break away from it all, then this is the place to stay. Will definitely recommend to others coming to the area and if we are ever back in the area we WILL be making a return visit. "

"My husband & I were unfortunately only able to spend one night at the delightful 'Auberge La Dauphine'. We will however be returning for the warm welcome (by reception staff and animals), the well appointed suite and beautiful peaceful surroundings. We ended an exhausting day of sightseeing and wine tasting with a swim in the pool, a drink under the gazebo alongside the dam at sunset followed by a delicious meal at a restaurant recommended by a member of staff. Another perfect day in South Africa!"

"Service"

(United Kingdom) anonymous

"Accommodation very good and generally happy with service provided. Our only objection was the presence of dogs in the kitchen and dining room asking for food."

"Extremely efficient and Welcoming"

(South Africa) Mrs Holder

"Staff were extremely organised, efficient and welcoming. All correspondence was quick, pertinent and helpful. Will definitely stay there again and highly recommend to friends and family. Breakfast was excellent too. "

The place was absolutely stunning, the view was something we cannot even begin to describe (thank goodness for video cameras to show the folks back home!). Not forgetting their 4 dogs Molly, Jack, Nelly & Ben and Joey from next door who kept the kids entertained & very busy. Definitely a must for anybody who visits South Africa."

"Auberge La Dauphine is a pleasant guest house with a relaxed and 'homely' feel to it. The hosts are very friendly and accommodating. Anne recommended and booked a lovely restaurant for us to enjoy dinner at. The room was very comfy, lovely soft pillows on the bed, TV which has some DSTV channels and a fabulous bathroom (although the shower was a bit small for my husband's taste). The mountain views are amazing from the room. The breakfast was pleasant; the staff were efficient and friendly. We enjoyed our anniversary and received a free bottle of the Auberge wine. All in all, I would gladly return for another visit. Only down side were the ducks who woke up rather early and were a bit noisy, but I guess it is to be expected in the 'country side'. "

"Our stay at Auberge La Dauphine"

Auberge La Dauphine was as I hoped would be, charming comfortable room, with wonderful surroundings. Owners Anne and Dan were extremely friendly offering great service without intrusion. I was able to take my Cocker Spaniel Poppy, who was a hit with almost everyone she met. I will definitely stay there again when I need a break away.

From the time that we booked our room online until the time we paid our bill we were bowled over by the excellent service we received. At Auberge La Dauphine we were received by friendly hosts, the room was superb and breakfast the next morning a relaxed affair with good food - and of course you cannot beat the beautiful views of this rustic setting outside the hustle and bustle of the busy village."
