The buffet offers anything one can think of and we were overwhelmed by the huge choice of goodies. The cabins are cozy and allow enough space to unfold - even for a family with kids. We also made use of the SPA treatments offered right on the premisses and felt totally renewed afterwards. In the evening we had the choice of either booking a five course meal in the restaurant or of having a BBQ in front of our cabin. We decided for the BBQ and enjoyed the nocturnal sky full of shiny stars. The lodge is definitely very recommendable!!!"

Easily accessible, just off the main N2 but really peaceful and the lodge gives you an excellent experience on South African hospitality. Accomodation out of the ordinary, very good food, peaceful surroundings and very helpful staff. My only regret is that we only stayed there one night. I shall return and will stay longer. Loads of space and the Jacuzzi was a fantastic way of soothing our muscles after walking the waterfall trail. Having our own terrace to sit outside and to do a barbeque was also really good. The gardens were beautiful, the Striptease trail fantastic and the swimming pool was also good at the end of a long day. The food was good and it was really good to have your eggs cooked to order. All staff were really helpful in advising us and because of them we were brave enough (after the Waterfall walk) to take on more walking (which was easier) - the suspension bridge and the Storms River boat trip. The jokes about the Striptease Walk and other jokes around the site were not really our thing but didn't spoil the stay. What really bugged us was that on our last evening a coach load of people turned up and after that the independent travellers were treated like second class citizens. Up to then we were allowed to eat in the main restaurant, after that we had to eat in another room. However, Cristo was helpful in insisting that the coach driver did not leave his engine on outside the window while we were eating breakfast. A good place to stay - just hope that no coaches arrive!"

Fabulous chef provided us with a 5 course buffet style meal each evening - I recommend the lamb! Breakfast buffet is excellent too. Very friendly staff, and Chris took time to talk to us and recommend places to visit - Natures Valley and Storms River Mouth a must see.

If you like hiking there is a very good trail (and very amusingly written comments) close by - I recommend you stay at least 2 nights to make the most of the area. "

We spoilt ourselves and stayed in the honeymoon suite. We found it VERY difficult to leave there! Falling asleep to the water flowing from the fountain, waking up to the little birds chirping. With all our hearts, we wish we were back there!!!

The spa bath is amazing, we started up a fire in the lounge area, ate our braai meat. I loved that option, to be able to braai if we want or have the buffet dinner.
Now the buffet is in a league of its own. The tsitsikamma chef - Amos - is BRILLIANT. We were ready to explode each time we left the dining area.

The area is just to beautiful to describe, we loved every second of our stay and what was great, is that if we did feel like getting out, there are so many surrounding activities to do. In fact, we didnt even get to do all of them!!
Unfortunately we could only afford to stay for three nights but we will DEFINITELY be back,
