"Heerlike bederf"

Gerrida S

"Ons het heeerlik gebly die 2 nagte. Die tent was skoon, die personeel baie vriendelik en behulpsaam, die etes onverbeterlik. Baie wild gesien op die wildsrit. Johannes, jy is absoluut 'n ster!! "

"Charming family run experience"

Melanie Clews

"We loved the friendly staff always willing to assist and the beauty of the setting and tents. The giraffes were an unexpected delight."

"Fantastic accomodation "

(New Zealand) Vaughan Moss

"Accomodation was outstanding. Pity this was let down by poor service on a very expensive night drive and braai, and very slow breakfast service. This could be easily sorted by a little training."

"Serenity, peace and bliss"

(South Africa) fazlyn abrahams

"Really great, enjoyed the absolute peace and quiet. Would like to have stayed for a week vs only an overnight stay.We stayed @ the Jacaranda lodge, which had its own swimming pool (great for little ones) and was completely private. Loved the outdoor showers."

"Recommended"

(South Africa) Julie Fulop

"We had a wonderful stay, and loved the outdoor shower and bubble bath in honeymoon tent. It was very relaxing. The only disappointment was that we did not see enough animals on safari."

"Quite an original place"

(Reunion) Philippe Allemann

"A place to be if you wish to forget noisy and busy places. The tents are quite original and well furnished, and everything is arranged for a pleasant stay. Experiencing one of their sundowner bush dinners was quite interesting and informative!"

"Enjoyable"

(United Kingdom) Tim Barker

"Really enjoyed our stay. Well looked after. Lovely people."

"Thoroughly enjoyable"

(United Kingdom) Nathan Davies

"We thoroughly enjoyed our 2 night stay. A great fun place to stay with young children. What was particularly helpful was the flexibility to arrange activities when it suited us. Would highly recommend!"

"Awesome"

(South Africa) Anonymous

"Awesome setting and accommodation.

Disappointing that we couldn't go on the sundowner gamedrive or make use of the restaurant as there was a conference going on. Would have been good to have been told about this before our arrival, as we then could have made alternate arrangements."

"Family fun"

(South Africa) Steven London

"Loved the tented accommodation, comfy beds, but a couple more lamps might help at night, when trying to find things in your bags. The quad-bike safari was just awesome, nobody should leave without doing it. It was sad to leave quagga and the springbok when we left. Our daughter bonded with Shakira the..."

The quad-bike safari was just awesome, nobody should leave without doing it. It was sad to leave quagga and the springbok when we left. Our daughter bonded with Shakira the dog too. The breakfast was delicious. All the staff were very helpful and pleasant. All in all, we had a great stay and look forward to returning one day."

I highly recommend staying in one of the chalet tents as they are perfect in everyway possible. Luxurious whilst still being within nature. As well as the sundowner dinner and game drive, and the quadbiking, are all events to remember!

Thank you so much Chandelier for rejuvinating my soul! I once again have the courage to face reality with a smile."

"A real gem in the Klein Karoo"

(South Africa) Henriette van Houtum

"My friend and I stayed in this beautiful tent with the ultimate personal treatment we got from everyone especially from our very nice guide Gerry.

I will recommend all my holiday guests to go for a overnightstay, gamedrive and ostrich tour."

"A lovely establishment"

"We had an absolutely wonderful time. The children really enjoyed feeding the baby giraffes, so this was the best part. We would definitely like to visit this establishment in the future."

"Chandelier was a wonderful experience for my husband and I. They have great staff, especially Anine and Nico. Accommodation is very comfortable, with a very well appointed ensuite bathroom plus and outdoor/open air hot and cold shower.

Breakfast was scrumptious with a lot to choose from while overlooking the kurper/koi pond. Nico's flora knowledge was very impressive which really made the game drive that more interesting. The mini bar fridge was filled with a large variety of goodies. Generally we had a very relaxing stay overlooking the dam, bird watching and just chilling. Will definitely recommend the establishment and will more than likely have a re-visit. Lynn West - Kenton on Sea.

"Excellent…no other word to describe. Short and sweet. Food excellent. Game drive very interesting. Luxury Accommodation.

"We were awed by our stay at Chandelier.
When we arrived we were greeted with a very warm welcome and complimentary refreshment out on the deck over looking a beautiful pond with fish and ducks.
After being shown to our tent, we settled into a stunning, well presented room. We were very impressed with the decor, the WELCOME sign written with flowers on the floor, complimentary wine, spa bath and robes.
In the evening we were spoilt to dinner at our tent on the veranda. It was absolutely delicious, very filling and cooked to perfection.
In the morning we were treated to a game drive and had a wonderful buffet breakfast overlooking the pond.
The game drive guide was full of information, and we saw some beautiful animals.
We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Chandelier.
Thank YOU!"

In reality the luxury tented accommodation at Chandelier was fantastic, crisp cotton sheets, solid furniture and no hint of " damp canvas" that I had imagined. The staff were lovely, location ideal and abundance of bird life a bonus. Breakfast by the lake was a prefect start to the day, I wish we could have stayed longer to explore more of Chandelier!!!! "Chandelier Game Lodge"

"A very pleasant and most luxurious stay! Arriving at the game lodge we were initially a bit sceptical about staying in a tent, however what an experience it was!
The staff were always helpful and the surroundings were breathtaking."

The ostrich tour was very informative and the children learnt more about ostriches than they had anywhere else. The game drive was short and we were very lucky and saw the giraffe. The quad bikes were good fun but we didn't see many animals although the scenery was stupendous. Great place and we had a lovely time."

We were 2 adults and 1 child, 7 years, and had a perfect stay in the tent. We had a luxury bath - where we were drinking "bubbles". An outdoor shower - Africa! A very nice room/tent! It was cold in the night, but there was a fan with cold or warm air. Usually it is hot in December. We enjoyed the ostrich rides as well as the Game rides in the morning – it was like a small safari, with just some animals, but nice!

Situated about 30 minutes from the Cango Caves – this is a must! We took the advanced tour. I can recommend Chandelier Game Lodge and Ostrich Game Farm."

"Luxury in a game lodge"

(United Kingdom) Mr Burden

"Talk about luxury in a game lodge, the accommodation is brilliant and the service first class. Very knowledgeable warden accompanied us on all the game drives and nothing was too much trouble. Would highly recommend for a taste of a game park."

"A tent!!!"

(United Kingdom) Mr Hampson

"If only camping could always be like this. A large corner bath, running hot and cold water, well stocked fridge and sumptuous bedroom. The balcony / terrace overlooked a water hole though the wild life was two dogs and a mouse. The meal was also good and the host very sociable."

"I can highly recommend chandelier game lodge for a stay in ostrich country.

When we visited in October we were the only guests so had the place to ourselves, however the staff could not have been more accommodating, organising a tour on quad bikes around the property and a highly entertaining tour of the ostrich farm itself, all to suits our time scale.

We stayed in one of the luxury ensuite tents and found it very comfortable; however you do need earplugs at night as the various animals around the farm become very vocal after dark. The area is also prone to power cuts and a good torch is also a must.

The dirt road to the property was off putting in our hired car and on our arrival, as we were the only guests; the restaurant was closed and required pre-booking. Fortunately it was only a short drive to Oudtshoorn were there were plenty of restaurants.

We loved the klein Karoo and felt our stay and chandelier was one of the highlights of our trip

"Very, very good. The people very professional, and it was a nice relaxing stay. Food was good. Rooms very modern."

"Nature close to road"

(South Africa) Mr Bester

"Super accomodation, lovely people and a must to visit if in the Klein Karoo."
