"On arrival we were greeted by the host (Dave) in a warm and friendly manner. We were pleasantly surprised by the clean, spacious 2-bedroom (5-sleeper) cottage which has a completely separate entrance offering own garden area with braai facilities.

Parking is also inside the premises behind a remote-controlled sliding gate. Gill was also very nice and warned us ahead of time to the power outage that might or might not take place during our stay.

The cottage had … everything! It was a home-away-from home feeling which I felt was wonderful compared to being in a hotel room elsewhere.

I would definitely highly recommend Clivia Gardens to my family, friends and acquaintances.

Apart from being surprisingly affordable the unit is also extremely comfortable if not luxurious: it is spacious, well-equipped and well-maintained. Clivia Gardens is surrounded by an equally well-maintained garden and offers an unspoilt view of the amazing Outeniqua Mountains.

We immediately felt at home after having been welcomed by our friendly host and hostess. It was quite clear that they intended only the best for their appreciating guests. Even the polite cleaning lady and the well-mannered dog contributed to our most positive impression of the establishment.

The cottage was very spacious and decorated nicely. It was also very private. The hosts were on site and helped us with internet access and other queries we had about the area.
Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and found our hosts to be very helpful and discreet, but there when we needed anything.
