indeed, it's the only way to have access to the rest of the house without walking outside.

I feel that this configuration is ideal for families where you are able to have young-ones right next to you.

In my case though we were three adult couples, who are used to their own privacy, and if I had known before booking I would have elected to find another place to stay.

I'd like to re-iterate that apart from this the accommodation and site was very pleasant, and staff very helpful. And, if and when I have kids, I may well come back now that my expectations are properly set.

I'd give this 4 stars out of 5, but am removing one star for it not being made clear what to expect in terms of the bedroom layout."

The house is enchanting and beautifully furnished, catering to your every need. The enormous fenced-in garden was heaven for our two very energetic dogs. We were there in the middle of winter, but never noticed the cold, thanks to the many heaters and the lovely fireplace in the TV room, where we watched Super 15 rugby on the huge flat-screen TV. I took the dogs for a sunrise walk every morning and since there is only one house on the farm, we had the entire place to ourselves, which meant the dogs could run off-leash as far and for as long as they wanted. Pure bliss! We met the owner, architect Sandro Maag, whose personality and warmth was purely an extention of the beautiful house. He made us feel right at home and welcomed us like he had known us forever. This was the type of weekend getaway that dreams are made of and I can't wait to go back there!"
