"Awesome two night stay to just chill out. No electricity.

Communal bathrooms. Kitchen is very well equipped with cutlery, crockery, gas stove etc. Had a lovely evening around the fire talking to Pierre & Sharon about the area. Will definitely go back again.

Kitchen well equipped. No need to take anything. We took a lot of unnecessary utensils etc with as we did not realise it was a fully equipped facility.
I am sure if one were to request assistance for any activity from Pierre, he would gladly assist."

"Such an amazing venue. Pierre was incredibly helpful in getting us to the venue (no signs and quite a tough road!) so we felt at home right from the start. The remote buildings overlook a breathtaking Valley, and the surrounding forests play host to many wild horses, some of which we were lucky enough to see on our evening walk. The lack of electricity didn't phase us either - it just added to the overall rustic and peaceful feel. A true gem of a venue! "

"This little diamond in the lowveld was absolutely amazing.

It is back to basics with a splendid backdrop of waterfalls, mine shafts and good company.

Thanks Pierre for the best day ever. See you again soon."

"Let me be honest, the road to Kaapsehoop Adventures is not easy going for a small car, but it's very possible if you know dirt road driving and the owner Pierre always offers a helping hand where and how he can (wet weather can make some parts of the road very difficult to navigate, even for 2x4 bak..."

"Let me be honest, the road to Kaapsehoop Adventures is not easy going for a small car, but it's very possible if you know dirt road driving and the owner Pierre always offers a helping hand where and how he can (wet weather can make some parts of the road very difficult to navigate, even for 2x4 bakkies). We only spent one night here but the experience was probably one of the most enjoyable IÕve had in a long time. Pierre and Ingrid are two amazing people with giving hearts and warmth as abundant as the trees in the valleys (corny but it had to be said). Amenities are basic but works and everyone helps each other out to find a spot in the gas fridge, or whatever the need may be. This is a place and an atmosphere where one can switch off completely and take in every second of the breath-taking views, beautiful countryside and calming breezes blowing through the trees. A must see, I must say!"

"Enjoyed"

"The only problem I had was that our booking was never communicated with Pierre at Kaapsehoop adventures. We had to wait 2 hours in the cold and rain with a 9 month old baby that was sick."

We will definitely return."

"My motto: do not visit venues where there is: no electricity / very dark at night because of no lights / no viable roads! BUT - What an experience this was!

Neat and tidy rooms, fireplace, bathroom with hot water and flushing toilet, light sensor at night when visiting the bathroom, fully functional kitchen and friendly, helpful staff. We experienced a warm welcome - both by staff and pets!

The greatest of all is the wonderful beauty of nature - serene is the correct term to use. We, as a family, will go back any day for a weekend or longer.

Thank you to Rooms for Africa for introducing me to Kaapsehoop Adventures.

Warm regards

Henrietta & Family"

"Thank goodness we chose Kaapsehoop Adventures. We were well received, the directions provided were spot on and the seclusion was exactly what we needed. Well priced for what one was getting. Everything that we needed was at our disposal and the host was very generous in providing information about the surrounding area. The cleaning lady made sure that the kitchen and the braai area was clean before we woke up - but never in our way that made her or us feel uncomfortable. We’ll recommend for people who want to get out of the city but not caught up by the touristy trap."
