The spa.The heater, could not be set and the tap filling it up has no pressure.This all resulted in a constant battle to get the water acceptable. Two. The road. The house is close to the main road. We could not sleep late one morning. At six the very loud pedestrians and busses, cars and trucks woke us up and disturbed the peace. We could only hear the river,and the hippos from about 19h30 at night, when the road's noise subsided.(keeping in mind, we were there over a midweek, weekends might be better. And we do live on a smallholding, so we are not used to any road noise around us. It is very quiet where we stay). Other wise, we thank the owners, specially for the extra hour.(The house is beautiful and well equipped for a self catering house). The field security office for their excellent service. The friendly staff, at the little shops. Marloth Park is well worth a visit."

"Walking tall was a lovely place to stay. Only problems I had was the remote for the air conditioner in the main bedroom was missing and it was very hot, the unit was not cleaned 100% as the balcony and Jacuzzi were dirty, and the single seater couches were torn and old."

"This is a spacious and comfortable house near Kruger and also easy to find within Marloth Park. The owner was efficient and helpful as was the person who handed over the keys. It has a wonderful balcony which we sat on at night and the first night managed to lock ourselves out on it. Jumping was not an option, so we had to sound the alarm. The security people were there within 6 minutes which was not just great for us but also reassuring. Animals would come through the garden regularly and sometimes decided to park themselves there for a while which was a fabulous plus. The house was well appointed and the facilities all worked perfectly, and the jacuzzi was an added bonus.

The Crocodile River is close by and we would drive to the lookout points which have wonderful views over the river - this view cant be seen from the Kruger side by the way as the road in Kruger that is parallel to the river is set further in land so the Marloth Park views are unique. In order to drive on the bumpy back roads of Marloth one really needs a 2x4 or a car higher off the ground, as only the main road is tarred.

We had a wonderful stay and I would recommend Walking Tall as great value and a super location for friends and couples wanting to visit Kruger and the area."

The rest of the holiday was thoroughly enjoyed, in and out of the Kruger Park. The evening's at the house brought with them the sounds of Lion roaring, which sounded like they were just outside our door (thankfully not), as well as the calm and tranquil sounds of the African bush and wildlife.
