We strive to keep our accommodation comfortable and affordable.

Each luxury room has a Double bed, one Single bed and an en-suite bathroom. A kitchen is available. Coffee and tea tray in the rooms. Supper can be arranged on request. Booking is essential. Braai facilities and firewood is available.

Riversdale is a flourishing country town located along the National Road (N2) linking Cape Town 300 kilometres to the west and Port Elizabeth 470 kilometres to the east. Riversdale's ideal location gives it the advantage of being a short travelling distance to seaside towns such as Still Bay, Gouritsmond and Witsand and is also an excellent base for one day trips to explore the variety of natural beauty, interesting places, charming 19th century restored houses, breathtaking hiking, hang gliding, fishing and water sports, 4 x 4 trails, and absailing alongside waterfalls. Riversdale, home of the sleeping beauty mountain peak a well known landmark which never fails to capture the imagination has earned its name of the Floral Paradise of the Garden Route because of the abundance of indigenous flora referred to as Fynbos which covers the mountains and surrounding areas. This floral rainbow is in full bloom throughout the winter months. Riversdale is a town full of surprises and contrast. "The rooms were comfortable and welcome and literally on the N2 route to PE.
Nearest towns that we visited were holiday resorts of Stillbay, Jongensfontein etc. which we duly visited.
We did see however a flock of sheep with 3 real working sheepdogs that also was on holiday. We had hours of fun playing fetch with the sheepdogs of which 1 of them was obviously retired. The dogs were not a nuisance when time for retiring to the rooms. They were quiet and obedient when told to go and the owners were not too far away if needed.
The accommodation was comfortable with beds, appropriate bedding, towels, fan, shower, wash basin, toilet, and kettle and coffee/tea/sugar/creamer. There was a neat and tidy communal kitchen that suited us just fine, There was braai facilities, with provided wood, which we really appreciated as the nearest SPAR was at the next town... just enough for a short stay.
The payment arrangement was convenient, cell phone banking. The host was accommodating and made sure that all our needs were met and that we were comfortable. We were really happy and may consider popping in again when we are in the area.
