A double/king size bed in one room would be nice. It is an old house but tidy. Do not expect 5 star fancy accommodation. I recommend it and would like to go back. Very convenient to have the beach off your front porch. "

The house is located with a great view and we were lucky enough to see humpback whales from the veranda.

The house is fully equipped and fresh and clean. I will recommend it to anyone wanting to be near tofo but not right at the center. Walking to town is about 15 minutes and that gave us the calm we wanted.

Preferably go by car, or at least backpacks, the road is sand so wheeled suitcases are pointless!

"If there was some other route to get to Tofo if one could skip Maputo and the Lebombo border, this place would probably become my permanent holiday destination! Nonetheless, I still look forward to my next visit to this lovely place. Tofo is like nothing else; the people are very friendly and helpful, and the beach in the Tofo bay was the perfect place to escape the worries of the past year. The local salesmen may become too much at times, but they are all very trustworthy and you just need to learn how to work with them.

We stayed at Casa Christine and this is a wonderful place for a family or a group of friends to relax and enjoy the Mozambican vibes. The large stoep is where we spent most of our time and the house is fully equipped with everything you may need. The housekeeper, Pedros, is very helpful and friendly and he helps you to get the best prices for local seafood and he also assists you in cleaning the fish.

The only thing we struggled with was directions as soon as we arrived in Tofo. I recommend future visitors to avoid driving at night and a sign board might be helpful in such a case. Other than that, Casa Christine is highly recommended and we would love to visit it again in future!"

We arrived in Tofo late at night and while we did manage to find Casa Derika in the dark (thanks to the satellite map provided), I think guests should be advised to come during daylight hours. Also guests driving from Maputo should be warned that the driving conditions are very tough and they should allow at least 8 or 9 hours. "
