Nice room with stunning view.
Unique opportunity to experience life in the township."

"Geraldine was a wonderful host and her home was very comfortable. Amenities were simple but suited us just fine. The dinner she served us was wonderful, especially after a day of driving from Cape Town. Breakfasts were more than ample and her family members were enjoyable to meet. It was well worth the time spent discussing with her how she got started with her B & B as well as her wonderful projects throughout the township that support the children and disabled people. If you are looking to experience a different side of life in South Africa from the typical tourist experience, this is a wonderful place to stay."

"Great experience"

(South Africa) Shawn Malone

"We did a road trip through the Karoo and the Eastern Cape, staying at numerous different guesthouses, and this one was among the most memorable. Geraldine was very friendly and helpful, and the room was quite comfortable, if basic. "

"What a lovely surprise this small but delightful B&B proved to be. It's in the Township just as its name suggests and our hosts were very welcoming. We didn't take up the optional conducted Township tour as we'd been working in Motherwell Township near Port Elizabeth for the previous two weeks and we felt quite at home in Tsalanang.

Our room was basically-furnished but very comfortable and breakfast was very good with local sausage a real treat to have. There's no pressure to, but feel free to make a donation to the local school-building fund! We highly recommend this "B&B with a difference" and will look to return at some future date."

"Geraldine was a wonderful hostess. The room was very comfortable and the little touches like flowers on the bed etc made it extra special. Breakfast was what we wanted it to be, and again, little touches added that little bit extra. The tour of the township was enlightening and we enjoyed a drink in..."

The rooms are simple and comfortable. The food is home made. The highlight is the visit to the township with Geraldine, one of the trustworthy people in the community, guiding you around. Her project is ambitious and she deserves the success. Tsalanang B&B is one of those uncommon places you must not miss. "

It was very interesting to tour the township, something we would never have done on our own. Geraldine took us to the local school, shops, inside houses and the pub, all of which we thoroughly enjoyed. Our accommodation was very comfortable and the breakfast the next morning was delicious. I would thoroughly recommend a stay. Good luck Geraldine and thank you for allowing us into your home."

The accompanied tour of the township was excellent and Geraldine was most informative. We were very impressed by the children and teachers in the village school but the visit to Gloria's creche made the trip for us. The sight of the toddlers singing and dancing for us has left us with wonderful memories of our stay in the township. Well done Geraldine for welcoming tourists into your home and for giving us the chance to see the 'real' South Africa.
"

"Tsalanang Township B and B is easy to find, very clean and you receive a very warm welcome from the owner, Geraldine, and her family. The guided tour she gave us of the township was one of the highlights of our holiday. It included the school and meeting some local residents. We gained an insight into the other side of life in South Africa in a very safe, friendly environment. We will never forget the sounds of township life at night time. After a great night's sleep, there was a full cooked breakfast made for us at the time we requested. Nothing was too much trouble for Geraldine, to make her guests feel special. If you only make one overnight stop on the Garden Route, make sure it is here."
