The most beautiful views over the town, lagoon and Knysna heads, the BEST place to have breakfast and discuss the day ahead!
I would recommend this accommodation first and looking forward to out next stay in Knysna!

"Stunning Guest House"

(South Africa) Campbell

"Guinea Fowl Lodge is without a doubt the greatest Guest House that I have ever stayed in. The breakfasts were huge and yum. The owners Mart and Piet were the most helpful people on earth with a lot of information about Knysna and the surrounding area. Can’t wait to go back there."

"What an amazing 5 night stay. Mart and Pete were the best. The location was perfect and the staff the most accommodating. The beauty and peacefulness was just what the doctor ordered. Definitely one of the reasons why I want to visit Knysna again.
Thank you Guinea Fowl Lodge :)

" Really delightful place to stay. Would commend it to anyone. Mart and Pete were great hosts. The rooms were spacious and beds very comfortable. We had good quality bedding and the showers were very good. Couldn't fault the quality of the towels and Mart found us beach towels to. The breakfasts were a delight especially being able to eat them on a lovely terrace overlooking the beautiful lagoon etc. Mart was a mine of information on local restaurants, places to visit etc. Wish we could have stayed longer. The pool was a Godsend after a hot day touring. There was also a delightful cool courtyard area outside our rooms where we could sit and enjoy a pre-prandial before going out for an evening meal at the large variety of restaurants within walking distance. Better to get a taxi back as you had to go down quite a few steps to the Waterfront area."

"Having booked very last minute for 6 of us we did not expect what turned out to be a great experience! We were made to feel very welcome, used the pool and enjoyed the glorious views from our veranda while sipping complimentary 'sherry'. The rooms were large and beautifully appointed and much care and attention given to ensuring we were comfortable and happy. The property is very homely with lots of cosy places to settle for a chat or a drink.
Mart and Pete were excellent cooks, extremely helpful and entertaining and even the animals liked their place! Birds came to feed off Mart's hand in the mornings and a baboon entertained us with line dancing on the overhead telephone wires!
This was the sort of place we would love to return to! We all felt so relaxed, perfectly at home and well looked after.

Breakfast was special, sitting outside on the balcony with views over the lagoon. The short walk into town was very safe and you can enjoy a drink or two with your dinner as you don't need to drive. We stayed in many B&B's in South Africa and this one is definitely one of the best! The hospitality is outstanding. A great place also for children and teenagers. "

The room and bathroom where clean and pleasantly decorated. Hot shower was great. We enjoyed the courtyard area, just to sit and relax and the view from the front patio of the Knysna heads and water area was wonderful. We did not have a vehicle so the very short walking distance to the city centre worked well for us. Highly recommended!"
