"This was the first place I stayed where the rooms looked even better than on the pictures! Michelle was so welcoming and we immediately felt at home. We had a beautiful view of the mountains and some vineyards and enjoyed our peaceful surroundings. Breakfast was an absolute treat every morning! The owner John was so friendly and helpful. He even helped us with cash when the banks were offline in town. Everywhere we went, people treated us like royalty once they heard we stayed at "John's place". I would definitely recommend Karoo Life to anyone, whether its a family or couples getaway.

The Breakfasts were amazing and beautifully presented and varied.

Our main reason for the visit was two fold Ð Travers the stunning mountain passes especially the great Swartberg Pass / Sever Weeks Port and of course to taste the great Ports of the region.

TrevorÕs advice on the various mountain passes and places of interest was extremely information and valuable.

Accommodation was also private and very comfortable located off the main road but easy walking distance to the various restaurants.
