Add to this the shy, slightly inquisitive mongoose that peered in through our window and the various birds dipping in and out of the fynbos, and it was hard to believe that we were a few miles from the town centre.
Francolinhof Guest House was all that we could have asked for and more. From the time of our arrival,our hosts couldn't have been more helpful and friendly. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, and tastefully furnished. The English breakfast was done to perfection and the service efficient. The extra touches of home-made crunchies to go with your tea, and port and chocolate on your return from a pleasant night out. What more need I say? Subtle spoiling at its best!
We will definitely be returning to soak up the tranquillity and beauty.
