The Guest House website was well laid out, easy to see everything and the rooms were exactly as per the pictures displayed. Definitely caught my eye when deciding where to overnight in Beaufort West. Once the quote was placed, a speedy reply was received from the Guest House. I really appreciated that the Guest House then communicating by text as I was already travelling.

The address did not come up on the GPS/Sat Nav I was using, so next time I will print out a hard copy to have with the directions as we had to stop in town and ask for help at a car dealers at the roundabout just before leaving town. The gentleman was most kind when faced with a very hot, flustered traveller – the day was 43 degrees C! The fact that they knew of the Guest House was an indicator we were heading to the right one.

At the Guest House we received a warm welcome and once the lady realised our needs were more than the basic room I had reserved, we were quickly shown a self-catering, which we were changed to – no fuss. Clean, bright and well laid out. Lovely heavy wooden furniture with such beautiful bold bedding. Loved the pictures on the wall. Intense heat and I so wished I could have sat in the water tank!!
We needed supplies and hot food and were told where to go to in Beaufort West. Bringing it back and munching merrily outside watching the setting sun and a glorious sky. (Braai/BBQ facilities were available.)
A place that I would definitely stay at again if I was in the area. Easily accessible for all route stop overs – Cape Town, PE and Johannesburg roads. Secure parking available. The beds comfy so we had a good sleep and were relaxed and ready for heading out the next day. The trucks ran past all night but we were not bothered by the sound. Bird life was a delight and whilst eating, the Mouse birds eyed us up for possible treats.

I will be contacting the Guest House directly with a bit more personal feedback.
