"This was a cottage with EVERYTHING. For once we had more than enough plugs for chargers. It is absolutely fully-equipped with all the mod-cons. The hosts were friendly ad helpful. There are MTB trails throughout the farm and quiet country roads to walk in any direction. The owners have kept the magnificent indigenous plants right up to the lawn of the cottage and you will see special desert succulents like hoodia, euphorbi, varieties of mesems, crassula and enormous quiver trees for miles around. The stars were spectacular. About 6km away is the rather fabulous and upmarket Springbok Spar with an outstanding butchery and lots of local interest foods (dried date and homemade rusks) to resupply."

"We stayed here for 4 nights while taking part in the Namaqua Quest MTB stage race. The lodge is very private, set amongst beautiful quiver trees, just a few kilometres outside of Sprinbok's town centre. The units are very simple, but clean and modern and every need is catered for. The lodge is lovely, but the hosts are really what sets this place apart. Mareleze and Tertius take Namaqua hospitality to the next level... nothing is ever too much effort and they are always available, but never in the way. Mareleze is always on hand with interesting stories, advice, maps and whatever else you might possibly need. Pokkel and Pote, the two resident border collies, kept us company at night under the vast Namaqua skies with its bright stars. Sperrgebiet Lodge really is a home away from home and we would certainly recommend it :)"

"sperrgebiet lodge"

"Quite, view must be fantastic at flower time, friendly hosts and dogs that are quite happy to look at the spectaculars stars with you. Cons are that it can be a bit tricky to find and the shower was a bit slippery. "

"We had the pleasure of staying here for a night recently. The whole experience was superb - each hut is kitted out with pretty much everything you could want (including a nice 'welcome kit' of toiletries (lotion, body wash, shampoo)) and an efficient heating/cooling system. The setting here is great, with the property being far away enough from Springbok that you are surrounded by absolute peace, but yet close enough that it takes only 10-15 min to get into town for dinner. The desert like scenery is great, and to top it off there is a 5km bike trail on the property!! Would recommend this property to anyone wanting quality accommodation in a stunning setting!!! PS. Loved the two dogs as well!!"
