A huge plus for us is that Bakersfiled is dog-friendly.

We travel with our two fur-babies each year and, it is a great relief to stay at a B&B that understands what this means. In fact .. our two pooches have grown very fond of visiting their Bakersfield friends, as have we.

The units are comfortable, clean and cosy with an attention to detail and the added bonus of a lovely view.

What a delightful cottage. Fully equipped with only the very best that anyone could ask for. A huge bed with crisp linen awaited our weary bodies. A piping hot shower.....so needed to wash off all the mud we had accumulated from our ordeal. A gas stove to make a steaming pot of fresh coffee (Yes. We brought along our own little coffee pot).
The following morning we awoke to birds singing and sheep bleating. This B and B self-catering establishment is set in a beautiful setting about 15kms outside of Kokstad on Bakkersfield Farm. Our host came to say good morning. What a lovely lady. We then had a wonderful breakfast of toast, cereal, juice, fruit, etc.
I cannot remember when R800 for two Chalets was spent and been so worthwhile. Thank you Jenny for a wonderful stay. I only wished that the circumstances had been happier for us. You come highly recommended and I wish you well with your renovations. Your place is the only place we will stay when next we travel through Kokstad.
