Although 13 km from the park gate the drive was not a problem as there was always some game to view on the way to the gate. The food was simple but well cooked though vegetables were not plentiful. We had an excellent evening drive on the property, seeing both cheetah, which we didn't see in Etosha, and lion with nice sundowners provided en route. All together a good stay and good value."

"Wow... It started with a very warm welcome and ended with a hearty goodbye and thank you.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Aoba lodge. Nelson and Sarah were excellent hosts, and we felt welcome from the first to the last minute.

Aoba is a retreat in a world of its own. The Family room was spacious and really beautiful. (Kids aged 15 and 17). Moskito netting on the sliding doors of the bedrooms (which we left open at night)as well as Moskito netting over the beds ensured a peaceful sleep. Beds and matresses excellent! Breakfast and dinner were superb - and Nelsons wine celler had a wide range of excellent wines. We could do some wine tasting before supper, to ensure that we had the wine that we really wanted. Pool area also beaut”ful. There is a waterhole just a few meters from the pool and Dining area. We had the privilage of watching a herd of Kudus just after breakfast.

The sundowner game drive with William was the Highlight of our first day. After 3 days of etosha we enjoyed being driven around and William gave us a lot of Information on many things that we had seen on Etosha, making us see many things in a completely different light. William went out of his was to find the big ones for us - it has rained a lot before we came, so the waterholes were not frequented as they would have been.

Albertina served us dinner and breakfast as well as Drinks by the pool - a beautiful and warm person who also went out of her way to make us feel at home in beautiful surroundings. Thank you to all (also the staff members who work hard in the background) we will definitely be back again!!! :-)"

"This is definitely our kind of place - comfortable, friendly, well organised but sensible. We do not like over decorated, over priced bush lodges and Etosha Aoba Lodge strikes the right balance of comfort with a charming simplicity. The rooms are clean and practical with plenty of hot water. The public areas are spacious and blend into the surrounding bush. The pool was clean and inviting and the food was plentiful and delicious. Pieter and Julie are excellent hosts for whom nothing is too much trouble and all their staff are friendly and charming. It is also ideally situated right next to the Lindquist Gate and with plenty of game to see on your way to the Park."

"Great hospitality"

Annelien Oude Luttikhuis

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Etosha Aoba Lodge. The hospitality is great, lovely atmosphere. As there were very few people at the moment we were upgraded. As a matter of fact we certainly will recommend this lodge to anyone and will choose this again. Kind regards Annelien"
