Rooms were found to be in a neat and tidy condition with en-suites facility clean as well. Every bed is fitted with an electric blanket and each room has its own heater, super plus in winter! We had full use of both well equipped kitchens. While looking for accommodation, we found Sutherland Guest house to be one of the few establishments where all rooms have en-suites facilities, a big plus when having a large group including children! Dealing with owner Ester Jordaan and her assistant was Bertie was an absolute pleasure and booking made through RoomsForAfrica was quick and easy!

"It was quite an experience; the landlord phoned me a day before my arrival to inform me that it was raining and that they had a snow fall. In case of a heavy snowfall they even offered to send some help in case I did not pitch up within 90 minutes after leaving Matjiesfontein (and that I must advise when I leave Matjiesfontein). Upon arrival, I was personally received and all the heaters were already switched on, even the under blanket on the bed. The rooms are comfortable and the kitchen is well equipped with all amenities to allow for self catering.
There is even a file available advising on all the places worth visiting during the stay.

I will definitely book again for my next visit.
