DeKotzenhof, a lovingly restored guesthouse located in the heart of historical Wakkerstroom has 5 luxurious en-suite rooms (one stand-alone self catering unit with patio, indoor fire place, well fitted kitchen and mountain views) charming décor, tea/coffee facilities, a safe, desk, seating, and the personal attention from owners Mark and Karen.
Family friendly: A family suite is available for children 6+. Board games and puzzles are available in the Guest lounge, and for outdoor fun, there’s large pretty garden, trampoline and a 9 hole Putt-Putt course. Free Wi-Fi.
Country-style breakfast and delicious dinners (optional extra’s available on request) include home-made products, available in the farm stall/deli. There is a large Boma, which can be booked for groups.
DeKotzenhof is easy to find, situated on the main tar road and walking distance to churches and restaurants. 2½ hours from Johannesburg/Pretoria, it’s the ideal stop-over en-route to Kruger, Swaziland, Drakensburg, St Lucia, or OR-Tambo, and has secure parking, with a concrete area for bikes.
