We went over the festive season, and whilst Amanzimtoti was incredibly busy, the location of Tradewinds is perfect, allowing you to feel like you are outside of the hustle and bustle of the busy beaches. The view was something from a movie - 180 degrees of uninterrupted ocean, and empty beaches. Views were enjoyed most from the cool repose of the sparkling pool, while sipping something from the honesty bar.

The room was comfortable and well-kept on a daily-basis. The aircon was a big plus in the heat (especially as I was 6 months pregnant over my stay at Tradewinds).

The breakfasts were delicious - with something different on the menu every day, including a freshly baked treat (the cheese scones and banana bread being my favourite!)

Pam was the most fantastic and accommodating host, and we enjoyed our chats with her.

Thank you for a lovely stay, we will be sure to be back!

There is a pleasant little honesty bar and you can use the B&B’s facilities if you order takeaways. Sherry, tea and coffee are provided free in the rooms and there are beach towels available at the pool. There was secure parking at night but the gates were left open during the day. There is no direct access to the beach, which is a short drive away."

"I was unable to keep my original booking but did manage to make my way to the South Coast just before new year. We arrived without any accommodation and with my little poodle (my kid). The chances of actually getting accommodation anywhere at that time and with an animal was slim. I called Tradewind..."

I called Tradewinds, received such a friendly and helpful response and was settled into a lovely room within an hour (even though a single room was all they had available). We spent time in the open deck area next to the honesty bar overlooking the ocean and my little poodle was able to walk around safely. We were late for breakfast, but they waited for us, good thing because it was probably the best breakfast I've enjoyed in a while. The only thing I regret is not having spent more time at Tradewinds and getting to spend more time at their beautiful pool area overlooking the ocean. All in all, the furnishings, service, tranquil setting was really good."
