"As the headline states, the guesthouse and surroundings oozes with the sense of relaxation and comfort for the weary traveler or passer-by on a budget.

My wife and I attended a wedding just outside Nylstroom and spent one night at Gorgeous Gecko (GG).
The room was equipped with all the basic amenities one would expect to find at a budget guesthouse. Everything was clean and tidy and the small bar fridge in the room sets GG apart from other establishments, as one usually has food or drink left over (from the road trip) that needs to be refrigerated.
The owner, Ursula, is a very kind person and made us feel welcome straight away. We did not book for breakfast beforehand, but were accommodated without hesitation and served a scrumptious breakfast before our departure back to Johannesburg.

GG is the perfect guesthouse if you are in town for a short stay. You will be left feeling rejuvenated the next morning, even though you came back from wedding celebrations in the wee hours of the morning;-) "
