At such an great rate, particularly for us South Africans, it really was like 5 star. Amazing entertainment area, great braai area and kitchen, being told not to wash dishes at all (love it), clean bathrooms (stunning for a backpackers), and awesome beds in the "glamping" tents.

We have already decided that our next holiday will be to St. Lucia and we'll be staying at Monzi Backpackers over, and over, and over again! It was superb, and we actually don't want to recommend it to anyone else for fear of it being permanently fully booked. We are starting our savings now for a holiday in about 9 months time when we'll go in winter (for some even better fishing) and will spending 7 nights at Monzi. We cannot wait!!

backpackers we have ever stayed at. Friendliness from all the staff including the security guards were the first thing we noticed! Everyone was welcoming and more then willing to assist with whatever we needed or queries we had. Our accommodation was perfect beds and pillows made us feel like we were at home sleeping in our own comfy beds! Bathrooms were clean as could be! But the best part was to be able to relax in the entertainment area and not feeling like you have to explain to anyone why you are here. We had the freedom to use the facilities as we pleased (with respective t's & c's) we lounged our afternoon away on the sundeck and enjoyed the summer breeze at the pool. It felt like we were on an expensive weekend away in the Bahamas. We could not believe that a small paradise like Monzi Backpackers Resort could make a weekend so memorable to us! It was a weekend in paradise!"
