Rainbow River Lodge is located on the banks of the Okavango River in the Caprivi Strip, and offers accommodation at affordable prices whether you prefer camping or the comfort of a chalet. Our guests can be assured of always receiving warm, friendly, true Namibian hospitality during their stay.

22 en-suite chalets that consist of double, single and family units. All chalets are equipped with linen; towels; mosquito nets, fan and en-suite shower & toilet. Seven deluxe chalets are situated on the lower river bank, overlooking the Okavango River.

The 11 river facing camping spots are covered under lawn and a canopy of large trees.
Each campsite has its own braai area, fitted with electrical outlet and water point.
The 4 ablution blocks have hot water; electricity and a communal kitchen.

A fully licensed bar and restaurant overlooking the Okavango River. Wi-Fi is available on the entire property. There is an outdoor pool available to cool off in the hot weather. If you want to do some activities we do offer a village walk, Sundowner Cruise and fishing from a boat.

Attractions include drives to the amazing Mahango National Park, boat trips to Popa Falls where you can easily spot hippo and crocodiles. We can take you on an exciting Mokoro or Wato trip on the river, enjoy being 'pole' motored in this traditional hand-dug canoe. Of course for the more adventurous guests, we readily offer some freshwater tiger and bream fishing, more canoeing or kayaking, guided walks or a guided village tour to visit the Mbukushu people.

84 bird species have been recorded in and around our Rainbow River Lodge. It is not just bird watching we can offer from our beautiful lodge but you should also spot some game and you might even catch a glimpse of 4 of the big 5 during one of your excursions. Many spectacular nature scenes await you so make sure you bring a camera or a smartphone to take home some memories.

"Great spot at the Okavango River. Accomodation is very basic. Breakfast time offers cold scrambled eggs, if there's any left (no refills). Dinner is slightly better but heavily overpriced."
