The hiking trail we did was also magnificent and so was the lapa braai area.

We will definitely be back and we will definitely stay a bit longer next time.

Japie made us completely at home within their camp site - the bathrooms were clean, we had free firewood and the fire-wood powered geyser was set up for us on arrival. I couldn't have asked for more welcoming patrons and I could feel their love for their farm and the place where their family has stayed for so many generations. We were warmly welcomed and when we arrived at the wooden cottage there were welcome chocolates for all of us. The cottage was spotless and made up beautifully and even had some coffee, tea and sugar in case those were forgotten.

The home made fire-lighter for the braai was an extra special touch. The hike up to the waterfall was beautiful and the next day over the mountain just as breath taking. There is a map in the cottage and the trails are very well marked.

There was a terrible storm on the Saturday night and it rained about 110ml, Jappie, our host came to check that all was ok the next morning. We were all fine but the river had come down in flood and the campers were stranded till the river subsided. Thanks to Jappie and Dorie for a wonderful stay and we will be back."
