"The bed was comfortable, the room was gorgeous and cosy, and we had privacy to braai our own dinner and just take time to look and listen to all the birds. The dogs were fantastic! The two little ones escorted us everywhere, showing us the walking trail. It was so quiet and comfortable and I was thrilled to see the chickens doing chicken-things and the sheep being sheepy. The owner explained well how the electricity and gas worked and I learned a fair amount about farming and off-grid life. I was thrilled to get a clear photo of a blue waxbill.
