"We enjoyed our stay at Sandford Park Country Hotel. I can agree with some of the comments made about having a bar fridge in the rooms. In general our stay was very nice. The hotel should attend to cleaning their carpets in the rooms on a regular basis. Our room's carpet was very dirty, we realised this when our 8 month baby played on the floor, her white leggings was dirty and that confirmed why my wife was itching during our stay there. Those with babies please be careful when booking a room, make sure the carpets gets cleaned if your baby loves playing or crawling on the floor."

"Good place, good food"

"We had a lovely quiet, relaxing 4 days at Sandford. The staff were excellent in every way possible from our arrival, when our room got partially flooded and assisting in finding a missing piece of clothing, we could not have asked for better, more friendly staff. The old section is mostly well cared for but we felt that the lounge area was in need of a good spruice up e.g. spit, polish and shampoo. Also the towels could do with being renewed but apart from that everything was great, the food was excellent and we would certainly recommend our friends to pay Sandford a visit."

"Initially I was concerned at the 3* status of the hotel. I need not have worried. The reception was warm and friendly, the room comfortable and very cosy. Meals were good and, as a vegetarian, which was undeclared at booking, the staff went out of their way to accommodate me - as my waist line will bear testimony.

I would definitely book for a longer period next time - although it will not be easy to avoid lots of evenings in the pub. Sandford is one of those hotels where you just feel cosy and home from home, let your hair down and have lots of laughs (which we did). Other guests seemed to feel exactly the same way. Made some very nice friends. SANDFORD PARK RESORT was listed by ROOMS FOR AFRICA - that was where we found it and booked. The speed of the response and professionalism in the booking was very commendable.

If we do stand a chance to win anything - please let it be at SANDFORD PARK RESORT - winning anything else won't be as much fun!

Sadly, I had hoped to go for horse back trails but they were not working over the holiday and weekends which I find to be strange as those are the day where people want to do that without rush... Sandford Park can influence this decision.

Otherwise, my stay at the establishment was just too nice... still recovering from good food which made me realise how spoiled I was getting...wake up, eat attend to my lazy business, and then eat supper...lazy around some more... Thank you. "

"We really enjoyed our stay with friendly faces, good service and a warm atmosphere we felt well rested on our departure. The only few small points that I would like to comment on are: The Entertainment Room, definitely needs extra care. Pool table is not well balanced and in the wrong position, one white ball with a big chip in it. Music would be great too would give it a really nice vibe. Darts can also be improved we had to mix and match darts. No room service was available. No TV in the rooms which was a big anti-climax. Otherwise everything was clean, cozy & quiet. Food was very nice, especially the home made bread. Waiters were friendly and accommodating. We loved afternoon tea & coffee that was available, that gave a really nice welcoming touch. The bar area had great decor with friendly barman. Many thanks for looking after us. We will definitely come again soon."

Old fashioned table d' hote menu was very good. Only real criticism was the breakfast when all the waiters could be in the kitchen at the same time and no one was supervising to ensure that guests' needs were being attended to. It is a bit over priced when one considers that there are no TV's in rooms.
