"We are so glad that we found Bosbokduin and Japie the host. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel so welcome. The quirky houses are just great and we loved the one we stayed in right by the sea with fantastic views. The house was well equipped and spacious. We were even lucky enough to see a whale and calf on the first morning, Japie came down to let us know which was so thoughtful of him. We enjoyed a good breakfast every morning cooked by our host Japie and enjoyed chatting with him over breakfast. Nothing was too much trouble for him.

The surrounding area is peaceful and safe with lovely walks and beaches. Look out for the tortoises as you drive down to Bosbokduin, we spotted quite a few just wandering about. We hope to return in the near future and thank you for sharing Bosbokduin with us for a few nights what a perfect setting."

I will go back."

"Bosbokduin is ideal for people that are overworked.

On our arrival I paid the balance owing for our stay, not having the exact amount, I was owed a few Rand in change. The next morning on our return from town I was surprised to see my change lying on the chair outside with a small rock on top. The rock was not to conceal the money but to avoid it from blowing away. Immediately we were assured that not only is it safe, but that crime is non existent.

I have a very fast and intense work life and Bosbokduin catered for all my needs on a vacation. It is quiet, tranquil and beautiful with stunning views.

Everything you need is supplied and the units are spacious. I particularly enjoyed the built in braai inside the unit, it gives you the freedom to braai no matter what the weather is like. The thatch roof gives a homely smell and in an odd way soothing.
We slept like babies every night. All lights are off at night and you could hear a pin drop.

Access to Bosbokduin is well controlled with each visitor having a remote for the gate. Unwanted guests will not have access.
I will definitely return.

At last a place that I can call a home away from home. When we drove out the gate returning home we were sad to leave but as good as new.

The unit itself is furnished in style, and in terms of service and decor - the attention to detail is significant, and appreciated. A fantastic breakfast is served, and several restaurants in Stilbaai provide everything one would need. The service from time of booking until you leave again is something to experience; they make you feel a part of the family!

"I am Samantha Cillers, Dot Dixon's (now Mrs. Schafer) PA and I organised a few things for her Wedding. I was very impressed with the service we received right from the time of making the booking. The people were so accommodating and were always available to assist us with all our questions. We received ample emails showing us all your accommodation sites, including what it has in it and what's available in the chalets. We live in Table View, Blouberg area and we received a clearly marked map with excellent directions of how to get to you.

The wedding was amazing and our entire stay was wonderful to get away from the rate race in our area and enjoy the tranquil relaxing atmosphere your place has to offer.

Thank you so much for your hospitality and I would definitely recommend your place to others. "

"As we entered the gates we were met by a relaxed Japie who escorted us to our accommodation. It was clean, comfortable and well equipped and when he said we could call on him if we had a problem, he meant it, as even the smallest request was quickly satisfied.

There are about fifty thatched houses scattered between the natural vegetation. All have the most spectacular views of either the sparkling sea or the tranquil bay. The houses are situated to afford privacy and their architecture blends into the surroundings. You feel completely safe and relaxed and a feeling of euphoria takes over.

There are plenty of walks which cater for all levels of fitness where you can enjoy the vegetation, fresh sea breezes and dunes and marvel at the rock pools built by the Khoi more than 2000 years ago. Or you can sit quietly in the bird hide and watch the cormorants and seagulls noisily tending their young, the coots, dabchicks and ducks busily searching for food while the bushbuck quietly graze at the water's edge. For the sport enthusiasts there is a beautiful nine hole golf course with spectacular views as well as very good tennis courts. The village shopping centres cater for every need and there are a number of good restaurants and coffee shops.

All in all our stay at Bosbokduin left us feeling refreshed, positive and empowered to face our hectic lives for the next few months!"

Bosbokduin Private Nature Reserve situated on the outskirts of Stilbaai, Western Cape is a haven of quiet and serenity. The views of the ocean and beautiful little bay are awesome. If it is a quiet getaway, to walk on the beach, swim, fish and hike through the reserve with a hardly a soul in sight is what you are after - this is the answer. The house we stayed in was everything one could hope for - fully equipped, tastefully furnished, comfortable beds, great bathrooms, all the mod cons, huge fireplace, outdoor braai and even a pool table! The house is so comfortable and well-situated that it is hard to tear oneself away to enjoy the beauty of the hiking trails, beach and rock pools. A great place to have a real holiday - as active or lazy as you please! "
