"There was a bit of a mix up, but we were accommodated in Hibiscus House in stead, which is directly behind Lavender House in the street parallel to Van Riet Street. We came to Port Alfred for a sporting event and needed comfortable accommodation after a long day in the sun. This is exactly what we got with plenty more. Everything in the house was top notch. My little Yorkshire terrier came with and there is a lovely big garden area for her to run around in. Also when we had a problem with what to do with our baggage on the day we had to depart due to unforeseen circumstances the owner was so understanding and helpful and allowed us late departure, for this I will be eternally thankful. All in all I would recommend this accommodation to anyone. It is not exactly on the river or on the sea but as I found out everything in Port Alfred is no more than a1km away from anything else and there are plenty of restaurants and fast food places and shops in the area.
