"we booked with Laguna for a second time now, as accommodation is affordable, clean and has excellent access to the lagoon, where it is wonderful to swim, especially for kids. We had a pleasant stay but this time there were a few issues. Our light outside the chalet stopped working on the second night, and even though we let them know, nobody fixed it. We were also the last to stay on at the lodge and were disappointed that the restaurant was no longer open and available to us _. You could only get cooldrinks. We had an excellent stay the previous year, and this year were slightly disappointed. We will consider it again, but would appreciated attention to detail and to inform us if the lodge will be closing early."

"Cleanliness"

(South Africa) Ronelle Joubert

"It was very nice staying there, but the cleanliness is a problem. Dishes and the chairs outside does not get cleaned properly. The white chairs has got years of dirt on it. Dishes has food on it from previous day and this is especially disturbing when you come into the lodge for the first time. The ..."

"It was very nice staying there, but the cleanliness is a problem. Dishes and the chairs outside does not get cleaned properly. The white chairs has got years of dirt on it. Dishes has food on it from previous day and this is especially disturbing when you come into the lodge for the first time. The toilet was leaking much water and it was looked at but left. The bathroom floor mats must be washed after each stay. Thank you for the time there otherwise, it was enjoyed."

I would recommend Laguna Camp & Bungalow Resort for those who want to unplug from technology and really relax and unwind. "

"Laguna Camp was a great first experience for us. It is situated just less than 200km from Maputo and is a great stop for a rest if en-rout up North and is very child friendly. From the initial hello by Louie (the owner) who checked us in, to Fatima who ensured our stay was pleasant and the other staff members of the restaurant (Daniel and Joanna) and our chalet cleaners, you simple feel right at home. We stayed in Chalet 7, which is perfectly situated in front of the restaurant and bar. No need to be concerned with the volume played in the restaurant as it is always kept at the right volume to not disturb nearby chalets. Our chalet was maintained and cleaned every day by friendly staff. The kitchen is almost fully furnished and includes a fridge and deep freeze. For those not keen to cook, the restaurant offers good food at fair prices. The shore of the Lagoon was clean and has lil huts to lie under. Watch out for the cute children from the village who practice their acrobatics in the nearby stream. I would advise anyone coming here to note that if you're seeking to party it up at night, this isn't the place to stay but instead it a great place to simply relax and chill out."

"Our family stayed in the 3 bedrooms chalet for two nights. The chalet is very spacious, beds are comfortable and quipped with large mosquito nets. The kitchen got all the utilities and the view from the veranda is spectacular. The children spent most of the days in the swimming pool. The dinner at the restaurant was delicious even tough the pizza is over priced. The entire area of 14 hectares is well maintained and full of grass and trees. We had a great time and highly recommend the place to families and couples. The camping sites looked great as well. Each with its own sink and water point and well protected under the trees canopy."

"Very nice"

(South Africa) Gerald O'Brien

"The resort was very clean and well run. Only problem was that the Site 3 that was originally recommended for my group was way too small so had to ask for an additional site. This was done at no extra cost. Ate at the restaurant and the food and service was excellent. Thanks. Will be back next year..."

"Very Good"

(South Africa) Renelle Parsons

"The resort is very good. The campsites are great, and having your own ablution facilities is very convenient. Nice resurant and pub area."

"It was hot and the facilities were not up to much. There were no boat rides or activities to do. There was no stove or microwave despite it being a self catering chalet. The drive from Bilene to Lagoona camp itself was very far from the start to the reception on the sand road was extremely far. The sign keeps showing one more km to laguna camp but we had drive for over 30 km to get to the reception area. The rooms are not properly air-conditioned and the fan doesn't even work properly. The only thing I enjoyed was the pool and the lagoon itself. Thats it, I don't think I would recommend laguna camp to anyone to stay, unless you extremely desperate."

"Lovely Laguna "

(Ireland) Julie Smyth

"We had a very relaxed and very enjoyable stay. The beach is lovely. We had lovely meal one night and prawns were best ever. Really need 4 wheel drive to access though."

"Enjoyed our stay"

(South Africa) Arlene Trindade

"Deep sea fishing good, beautiful beach, restaurant service shocking"

"Recommended"

(South Africa) Johanna Mostert

"The ablution block was cleaned every day. The camp itself was clean the whole period of our stay and the staff was very friendly. I will return to Laguna any time and already told friends and family about Laguna."

"LAGUNA"

(South Africa) Brenda Herrero

"We were impressed with the campsite."

"Rustic charming chalets. "

Diane Laing

" Nothing fancy but everything we needed was there. Friendly good service. Ideal for nature lovers and someone who is looking for the real beach hut . We loved it and would return. This is not Sandton by the sea. The front door could be more secure."

"Executive Camping at it's best"

(South Africa) Karen

"To date, I have not stayed at a better laid out or run campsite.
The staff were always friendly and well presented.
Even the cleaning material they used looked brand new.
This is truly what I call executive camping.

"Enjoyed the remoteness of the place, the spacious camp site where one can pitch multiple tents, making it ideal for group visits. The beach is close to resort and accessible in a non 4x4. Electricity, swimming pool and restaurant were handy. It's a good resort. Very friendly staff. My only criticism is that there should be a way to communicate with the resort even after hours but once we settled it was really good. Loved the boat rides. Definitely coming again.

"Excellence at basic level"

"What a joy to find "luxury" at a basic "African" level - this is not meant to be negative at all. I have travelled extensively in Mozambique and stayed in some "4 star luxury" hotels that don't come close to Laguna.
The owners are friendly, helpful and always ready with a smile. The staff are friendly although many don't speak English - but it does not stop them from "making a plan" to help or get help.
The restaurant portions are more than generous and the prices reasonable.
A water craft (boat, jet ski, water bike) of some sort is a definite advantage if you gonna be here for more than a few days - unless you are looking for complete rest.

We will certainly visit Louis and Fatima at Laguna again
Thank you for great memories "
