"Although our extremely comfortable room was beautifully and tastefully furnished, had good quality towels and sheets, double-glazed windows, a tea and coffee station as well as the usual complimentary toiletries, there were negatives that stopped me giving this review 5 stars. Being mid winter, with frost outside, our room was freezing and we were very surprised there was a fan but no heater. The other item missing was an information book in the room with details such as the facilities available at the lodge, places we could go for supper, meal times etc. With all the available accommodation in the area, we also felt it was on the pricey side for what we got. Staff in the dining room gave good service with a smile."

There was also no welcome coffee and one feels that after a long journey, you look forward to these especially since there are no shops nearby. There was no bottled water or soap either. The place is very season oriented as the beer for instance is only available in December. "
