"Although our stay was very short (1 night), from the moment we arrived at The Village Lodge we were made to feel very welcome by reception staff and owners of the establishment. The effective air conditioner was used only on arrival to cool down the room a bit since it was fairly hot.
The sunset, viewed from the veranda of our unit over the well kept gardens, was awesome and photo's had to be taken to capture the special moment.
Dinner was done at one of the local restaurants.
We had a good nights rest and awoke to the birds and the spectacular mountain views that could be viewed from the back entrance and kitchen window. The healthy breakfast was a welcome treat and while we chatted to the owners thereafter, our children took advantage of playing some pool in the cosy communal braai & entertainment area. We said our goodbye's and left feeling another night would have done justice but still happy to have had the opportunity to stay over.
