Staff are all respectfull, helpful and friendly. Homely pub where it is easy to meet the locals in a very relaxed atmosphere. The Restaurant boasts superb food. Their steaks beat some of the best in the country! Rooms have nice old wooden floors and very clean.

The few downs are the fact that the Hotel is old and lacking some of its earlier lustre. The up is that there are signs of 'Renovations in progress' posted.

Will we go there agan?

Without a doubt. Will not even contemplate alternative accommodation!"

"A bit noisy at times in the passage way of the Hotel rooms. Free wireless was great addition.

"Perfect for the more adventurous being the gateway to Baviaanskloof Nature Reserve but you do need a four-wheel drive vehicle. Hotel a bit tired in places but a great atmosphere. Staff helpfull food good had the best steak here whilst in South Africa."

"After an exhausting day through Baviaanskloof, the comfort of the rooms and the facilities made for a uniquely refreshing experience. The chef cooks the best steak you can think of and the chicken cordon bleu was equally top quality. Well done."

They still ask us the full rate for the day. We only saw afterwards on the web they are closed on a Sunday. But further more nice and quiet place to stay at."
